Mountain Biking on Vashon Island
The closest mountain bike trails to Seattle are just 5 miles down the main highway on Vashon Island. Take the Fauntleroy Ferry. You can also catch a bus at the ferry dock on a weekday or Saturday (no bus service on Sunday). If you ride, the hardest part is just after the ferry dock for 1 mile.
