Bike To Work Day was May 17th, 2002. But you can make any day bike to work day. Let us show you how or sign up for the Bike Buddy Program and get a mentor to show you the ropes.
We had mini bagels from A La Francaise Bakery (Sara Lee Brand), Starbucks coffee (regular and decaf), Organic Bananas from PCC and RideYourBike.com and many other goodies from Cascade Bicycle Club.
The T-Shirts sold out in an hour! We will try to have more next year. The bridge opened at about 7:30 AM (on cue, just kidding!) causing a pile up of cyclists. Good thing we had plenty of hot coffee and food! Many people hung around and just had fun.
The day started out grey and a little drizzly, but by 8:30 AM the sun was coming out. Good things come to those who ride their bike!

Enviro-Note: With the exception of Clif Bar and chocolate bar wrappers 100% of the trash was recycled from our station! We used reuseable ceramic cups purchased at the Goodwill for 29 cents each and will wash and save them for next year. All the banana peels were composted by Aaron & Gypsie's chickens. Starbucks provided the coffee in reuseable carafes. The only other trash item was an inner tube we could not patch!
