If you mountain bike, then you NEED to visit St. Edwards / Big Finn Hill Parks. There is a ton of trails there! The best word to describe these trails would be 'fork'. Every 100 feet there is a fork in the trail it seems. You can't get lost because Jaunita Drive is on one side and Lake Washington is on the other. It is really amazing this much forest is still in suburbia. We spent 3 1/2 hours on this ride. The trails range from smooth goomed gravel (primarily for hikers) to knarly singletrack trails (mostly in Big Finn Hill Park). This place is really muddy in the rain, try to avoid. We try not stay off the North Shore style bridges and ramps. They look and feel like wood shop rejects! We have to go to work the next day and don't need to get hurt.

UPDATE: 3-27-2002 Aaron, Mike and Jason have been riding a lot together and our skills have improved (mostly mine, Aaron). We still avoid bridges in the rain. Jason is the one that will try the higher stuff. Don't be afraid to ride with us, there is no pressure for you to try these things. Most of the ride is trails. These pictrues were from our 'rest stops'.
